|Essential||Until Tutorial (Scripted Death)|
|Faction(s)||Character gen Blades; Emperor faction, for Uriel and Martin|
When Renault first arrives with the Emperor and the other Blades in tow outside the player's prison cell, she will be speaking with Uriel, telling him that they are heading "Beneath the Legion Compound. We're headed for a secret passage known only to the Blades. No one can follow us through here." She will then notice the player, and is at first wary: "What's this prisoner doing here? This cell is supposed to be off-limits." She will evidently decide that the player is not much of a threat and add, "Never mind. Get that gate open. Stand back, prisoner. We won't hesitate to kill you if you get in our way." Renault won't hesitate to further warn the player: "Don't give me a reason to kill you."
After leading the company through the sewer for a short ways, she will be killed when the Blades first engage the Mythic Dawn assassins. This occurs whether or not she is actually struck, as her death is scripted. Baurus and Glenroy are unnerved by her death, shouting "The captain's down!" and "She's dead. I'm sorry, sire, but we have to keep moving." Prior to her demise, Uriel will speak of her loyalty, saying "The captain and her men... it's their duty to protect me. I will do as they say."
- Captain Renault is referred to as "Renote" in the construction set and her script.
- Her katana and Glenroy's can be found hanging above the fireplace in Cloud Ruler Temple, as both are recovered by Baurus after the Emperor's death.
