Oblivion:Niben River
The UESPWiki – Your source for The Elder Scrolls since 1995
The Niben River is a large river in Cyrodiil. Its source is Lake Rumare in the Heartlands and empties into the Topal Bay. The upper section is known as the Nibenay Basin, while its lower section is known as the "Trans-Niben."It is divided into three sections:
[edit] Upper Niben
The Upper Niben is the section of the river between Lake Rumare and Niben Bay. The Red Ring Road crosses over it near Lake Rumare, over a rather impressive bridge. (Second only to the Talos Bridge in size.)
[edit] Niben Bay
Niben Bay is a large body of water lying in the Nibenay Basin, largely east of the city of Bravil. The Upper Niben Bay captures the outflow from Lake Rumare to the north, and the Larsius River, the Corbolo River, the Silverfish River, and the Panther River all empty into the Niben Bay. The Lower Niben Bay, which flows southward to the city of Leyawiin, empties into Topal Bay in southern Tamriel.
[edit] Lower Niben
The Lower Niben flows from the southern end of Niben Bay, past and through the city of Leyawiin, and empties into Topal Bay. It is a very abundant source of Nirnroot. Leyawiin completely blocks the river, so it must be assumed that the water flows underground or through the sewers, because otherwise the city would act as a dam, and be completely flooded.
