Only one item uses this effect, but it cannot be disenchanted:

- The Diadem of the Savant and Archmage's Robes provide an equivalent effect (and are slightly stronger, at a 5% and 15%, respectively, cost reduction for all spells) but do so with a different enchantment that contains all five schools separately. They cannot be disenchanted either.
- If you equip the Saarthal Amulet while under the influence of a Fortify Restoration potion with a magnitude of at least 3,334%, you can make all spells cost no magicka to cast, and all weapon enchantments to have unlimited charges, regardless of school, with only one apparel slot used. Even when the potion wears off, you will still have the fortified effect until you unequip the amulet.
- With the Diadem of the Savant, you can obtain the same effect with a minimum magnitude of only 2,000%, with the added benefit of being able to wear a Falmer or Penitus Occulatus helmet on top of it, enabling you to keep your "neck" enchantment available for enchantments that can only be applied to the neck, such as Fortify Barter.
