Modryn Oreyn

Modryn Oreyn is the Fighters Guild Champion, located in Chorrol. He acts as Vilena Donton's second-in-command, and gives out quests to Fighter Guild members. He spends most of his time managing guild affairs in Chorrol, but he will venture out and do some fighting during the Azani Blackheart quest.

Modryn's hobby is painting and after events cause him to be temporarily expelled from the guild, he spends his time creating "masterpieces", such as his depiction of Ajum-Kajin's torture during Information Gathering. Modryn initially seems to draw his inspiration from real-life, a fine aspiration and basis for his work - but notice that the main figure possesses Modryn's splendid mohawk (the purple skin may also indicate that the figure is a Dunmer). Given that Modryn got the player to do the 'dirty work', it seems he likes to blend fantasy and real-life in his art. He does not offer any services. A shelf in his house contains a copy of the blade skill book Words and Philosophy.

[edit] Notes

  • At the beginning of the Azani Blackheart quest, Modryn Oreyn can be a useful follower, especially because he is essential. He is a strong fighter, although his default weapons are ineffective against ghosts and wraiths. It can be overcome however by giving him bound armor and weapons and enchanting them to make him a lot more useful than he already is.
