Frost Atronachs are elemental Daedra that resemble over-sized humanoids entirely composed of melded blocks of ice. They have unusually long melee reach and their attack freezes (therefore slowing) opponents. Their blows may stagger targets as well. Frost Atronachs can be summoned by the player, and are occasionally used against the player by enemy conjurers. Due to their common use in defensive positions, Frost Atronachs have a tendency to stand between their conjurers and their enemies. As Frost Atronachs have no ranged attack, eliminating them from a distance is particularly easy. One may encounter Potent Frost Atronachs at higher levels.
All Frost Atronachs are members of their own race (FormID
000131f6), which shares the following traits:

0x0002f3b6): For <dur> seconds, opponents in melee range take 10 points frost damage and stamina damage per second
- +10 Destruction
- Immune to Paralysis
- Cannot be Reanimated
- Height: 1.3

 Frost Thrall
Frost Thralls are a variant of the Frost Atronach. As members of the same race, they therefore share all of their characteristic racial traits.
One notable difference between Thralls and Atronachs is that Thralls have a special fortified healing ability:
